Queen Victoria married Prince Albert of Saxe Coburg and Gotha. The ceremony took place at the Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace and the wedding breakfast followed at Buckingham Palace. This was the first weddign of a reigning Queen in England since 1554. Victoria wore a white satin dress, the beginning to a trend that brides today still follow.
