It’s here! Finally. The living room design board. I realized a while ago, that two things were out of place on all my other plans and in the room itself. First, there wasn’t enough weird/funky/fun in the living room. Enter this crazy vintage safari chair. Second; color. The light green walls had to go, they were getting far too traditional for our style and I learned I’d much rather bring in color through art and pillow type accessories. Enter the white/champagne/greige paint. We still have texture and geometric shapes, and it certainly helped that I nailed down the sofa. This one is not only comfortable and stylish, but I believe kitty will approve of the height in which it sits off the ground, as she could hide/retrieve her own toys from underneath it. So many good things here on this board. The “it” piece byMichelle Armas really sets off the color scheme. Ferm living throw blanket, west elm and anthopologie pillows (past season), brass library lamp are the jewelry all work together because of the art. The big ticket items: The Crosby Sofa. The Moooi Non-Random Light. The Kasbah Wool Rug. Leather Pouf. Alberta Table Lamp. Safari Chair (try craigslist or vintage places if you don’t like that anthropologie price tag). The Parsons Tower. Now that I am thinking about it, this board only really covers half of the living room. Stay tuned for part two — the mantle side.
